Turner 'Support Gratefully Appreciated'Article Date: 11 Jan 2008 Graham Turner has spoken to the Official Hereford United Website ahead of Sunday's clash against Shrewsbury Town... Talking about the game Graham said "It's a local derby, it's a game, that in order to stay in contention we really need to take all three points from." He then went on to wish for the same sort of vocal support that was in evidence at Tranmere last weekend, a support which Turner said "Was a tremendous" adding "it was greatly appreciated - We would hope for something like that - It certainly lifts the players." Graham also gives us a run down on the latest injury worries, ruling out Steve Guinan, and rating Clint Easton's chances as 'touch and go'. With MK Don's recording several wins against fellow promotion-chasers, I asked Graham whether MK Don's winning streak was a good or bad thing. "I think it's a good thing. I think we accept they are a strong outfit. There is alot of competition there, but maybe we're reaching the stage where we say to MK Don's okay you go beat everybody and we'll fight for the other two [automatic promotion] places. Talking about the Bulls' busy Christmas period in which United recorded 13 points from 18, Turner commented that United "Could have done better" The gaffer then goes on to talk about the transfer speculation, naming a Championship player who has decided to join a League One club, and confirming that he will be in talks with two players this morning. Finally Graham takes time to talk about the youth set up, and about the latest Coca-Cola Promotion which gives Bulls supporters the chance to win £25,000 for United's youth development.
