Thousands of Hereford United fans turned out on Sunday morning to watch United's open top bus parade...

The open top bus parade was cheered off from the ground by a large number of Bulls supporters, but the welcome that United got as the bus entered High Town was unbelievable.

The large numbers of fans massed in the pedestrianised shopping area seemed to have exceeded most peoples expectations, and the jubilant scenes will go down in history.

The bus parade then made one more circuit of the City ring road before heading for the town hall where it was met by more Bulls fans, and chants of "We are going up!"

Players and staff joined the Mayor and the Chairman of the Council on the steps of the Town Hall, where Turner was presented with the City's Coat of Arms.

Video footage and interviews from Sunday will be available shortly, here on the Official Hereford United Website.

DVD of the season with the parade at the end would be a great idea. Bit worried about what Tuurner said.

"Players will come and go. I'll go but supporters they support their club for a lifetime."

Hope that wasnt a hint that he is thinking of going asap. Well done all concerned at HUFC we are proud of you.

Turner must stay, turner must stay.

  • Brilliant season, gutted not to have made last 2 games due to work abroad. Well done to Graham, John and all the lads. Have some wonderful memories of what has been a great season for many a year. Does anybody know of any plans for a DVD release any time soon. Who was player of the year at the awards evening after the Grimsby game.

I hope not , turner has always said this season that he wants to manage a big club again, he can make us a big club if he stays, we must make him stay he is our god!!!!!!!!!!THERES ONLY ONE GRAHAM TUNER ONE GRAHAM TUNER,!!!!!!!!!!!!!! EXCELLENT DAY AGAIN TODAY GREAT TURN OUT THEY SHOULD DO A VIDEO OF SAT AND TODAY IM SURE IT WILL SELL WELL. GRAHAM TURNER IS OUR GOD. I WOULD LIKE EVERYONE TO SEND LETTERS TO MR TURNER TO THANK HIM FOR ALL HE HAS DONE FOR OUR CLUB AND LONG MAY HE CONTINUE, A BIG PART OF OUR CLUB WHICH MAKES THINKS HARD FOR G.T. IS OUR HOME SUPPORT IT IS VERY POOR, AND NOW IN LEAGUE 1, PLAYERS WILL WANT MORE WAGES AND STAFF, AND YOU NEED THE GATE MONEY TO GO TOWARDS THIS, THE WAY G.T. AND J.T ARE TALKING THIS IS THE HIGHEST WE CAN GO THEY FEEL, MAYBE G.T. THINKS HE HAS DONE THE BEST FOR US AND PUT US LEAGUE 1, NOWS THE TIME FOR HIM TO MOVE ON, LOOK AT A TEAM I HATE SHREWSBURY 5TH FROM BOTTOM AND THERE LOWEST CROWD IS 5,000 FOR HOME GAMES AND WE AVE 3,500 WHICH IS VERY BAD, AFTER ALL WE HAVE BEEN IN THE TOP 5 ALL SEASON THIS HAS MADE NO DIFFERANCE AT ALL ONLY A BIG TURN OUT SAT OF 6,000 ODD WE NEED THIS EVERY HOME GAME IN LEAGUE 1.

Absolutely magic Hereford united. * I'm so proud to be a Bulls Fan. *Quality players and a joy to watch. *Teams won't want to play us in League One because we play good football. *I will be celebrating for the next three months. *I have been a bulls supporter for 27 years, and this ranks in the greatest achievment so far, promotion from the conference was excellent but this is outstanding !! *Happy days Hereford United "WE ALL LOVE YOU".

Good that United have done so well by playing football. We have the best disciplinary record in Div 2. We also performed more than well in all our games against higher league opposition, which is very promising. BUT - will we be able to get so many good loanies next season? And will the fickle Hereford public all disappear again as soon as we lose a couple of games?

I have to disagree with the the idea of GT, made above, being God. No way! There is only ONE God, and He is above all and every man. It's is He who gives man the ablitiy to do well. However, what GT and the staffs, players have achieved is brilliance and outstanding. And I say well done Hereford United FC. But GT is not GOD but a man. We should be thanking GOD for what GT, a great man, had done for Hereford United FC. It's only right that I put the record straight here. I pray to The Lord that Hereford United would do well and get promoted. And as a life-long Whites fan, He (GOD) answered my and many others prayers - don't you think!!! Now I will be praying the Hereford United FC will do well in Leauge 1.

all i have to say is phenominal wat a season the bulls have had with graham turner taking hereford football team to a different level of play although we have had some great individual players this year such as lionel ainsworth, sherjil macdonald, wayne brown and gary hooper we have also had a great team all working greatly together like they have played together for years but we have to take our hats of for graham turner and john trewick what a team those two gave proved to be they are truely class and i hope to see them working together at hereford united football club for years to come. HUFCTID

  • gret turnout read in paer wester tabloid thing with bad picture said about 1000 fans turned up i was shocked it was a massive turned out i never expected so many the players gave a good atmosphere wayne brown seemed to really enjoy his chant in the streets, as to what turner sqaid about players and him going its obvious that one day he will have to step aside but i feel that not be for a fair while as he still ahs alot to offer the club and now were up his experience may be vital to us staying there. as to the loans and transfer market i think well get some good players watched late night itv footy program they said turners one of the best managers out there for useing free transfers and getting good loan signings jsut look at peterbourough and mk dons theyre massivve clubs in comparrison to us with so much money and were right on their heels. now though is when it all the hard work starts as i aitn sure what current regulations are but the ground is going to need some allteration which will take some money i think u have to have so much seating and theres segregation might need addressing. when we got in league 2 all that tiem ago lol they were supposed to be doing something to meadow end adding seating and better facillitys i think taht might need doing so its gonna cost the club alot before we get to the signings but its all looking positive aslong as we improve only what we got to to begin with and choose signings carefully and watch the old bank balance for fear of becomeing like other clubs which become victims of our own success and spending to much and not beeing able to afford to stay in leauge 1 but when u look at it positivly we were favourits when we got premoted to go straight out of league 2 really wished i had a bet on that now been a great seaon and i think next well be high in the table. come on the whites one day itll be the championship :)

i was there i sounded a bit concerned when turner said hell leave in the future.enen though i think hell still be here a while yet.not sure about deano though i heard mick mcCarthy was here on saturday watching him.about new players sherjill macdonald a couple of months ago when he left crewe were after him on loan tony mowbray said he wants to send him on loan to a league 1 side.also i hane heard the same reports about lionel ainsworth.plus gary hooper southnd manager tilson doesnt think much of him so hopefully theres a chance there to at least bring him back on loan.manu, chelsea and liverpool have lots of young players who they sound out on loan for example robbie threllfall. hopefully we can keep the majorirty of the lads for next season and bring in a few good players and you never know what might happenm we could enjoy another good season

11 YEARS AGO WHEN WE WERE RELAGATED TO THE THEN CONFERENCE I HAD TEARS IN MY EYES...TEARS OF SADNESS.SUNDAY OUTSIDE THE TOWN HALL I AGAIN HAD TEARS IN MY EYES BUT THEY WERE HAPPY TEARS. HAVING SUPPORTED THE BULLS THROUGH THICK AND THIN FOR OVER FORTY YEARS I WOULD LIKE TO THANK G.T.AND ALL THE STAFF AND PLAYERS. YOU SHOULD ALL FEEL VERY PROUD. THANKS A MILLION TIMES.

  • Watford fan here. Congratulations on your promotion. We are desperate for a striker and I wanted to know what you think of Theo. Quite alot of us are hoping that maybe Theo can play a part in the playoffs as at the moment we are really struggling for goals. What sort of player is he?

  • kyboy

hereford fan telling you about theo robinson. im 14 and i havnt seen many talents like theo robinson. i have been to the majority of home and quite a few away games this season Theo is a great talent a bit greedy at times but some of his goals are top class and hes got good pace and skill and hes only 19. he reminds me of jermain defoe but a bit taller.if watford give him a chance he good suprise aidy boothroyd.even though i want us to sign him.

  • kyboy

i agree with the comment above about the stadium the ground needs work.no disrespect to anyone at the club i love edgar street but i think it looks a bit of a mess it needs repainting all over and the black friars meadowend need atention. family stand needs painting. floors to go stand is quite nice but soon it would be nice to make it all seater.itheres the edgar st grid that will be done in a good few years which is to long it needs to be done by this time by at least 2010. one stand at a time. another thing is if we left edgar street as it is iot wouldnt meet to higher league regulations for example in a couple seasons we could be in the championship aga no disrespect are grounds nowhere near good enough for that level.you could say colchester went into the championship with a stadium no better than ares, but if you look at them ther playing in a new stadium next season.so i think work needs to be done.
