Graham Turner
Hereford United chief, Graham Turner was named League Managers' Association League 2 Manager of the Year at an awards ceremony in Nottingham on Monday evening.
After missing out on four seperate occasions for the Football League's Manager of the Month prize during the course of the season, the Bulls' supermo has finally - and deservedly - been recognised for his achievements after leading United to automatic promotion to League 1 - a second promotion in just three seasons with the Bulls returning from non-league in 2006.
The award is voted for by the entire LMA membership and takes into consideration the performance of all managers during the season.
Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson scooped the Premier League gong after leading the Red Devils to their 10th Premier League crown as well as the upcoming Champions League final against Chelsea in a little over a week's time.
West Bromwich Albion boss Tony Mowbray was awarded the Championship honour after guiding the Baggies to the league title and a return to the Premier League following last season's playoff final heartbreak, whilst Roberto Martinez received the prize for League 1 after seeing his Swansea City side finish at the summit of English football's third tier.
Graham Turner was the only recipient of an award not to have seen his side crowned league champions, highlighting the incredible job the Hereford boss has done with the resources available compared to fellow League 2 promotion winners MK Dons and Peterborough United.
All three awards were presented by England head coach and LMA president Fabio Capello, who briefly spoke to the assembled media in English afterwards.
LMA chairman Howard Wilkinson also spoke, commenting: "The awards recognise the achievements of the managers across the four top leagues in England.
"Recognition by your peers is an incredible privilege and this year's winners should be proud of their achievements.
"The LMA would like to congratulate all the managers for playing such an integral role in another fantastic season."
Many congratulations to Graham.

This award is truly deserved and I would like to add my congratulations and thanks for a fantastic season. You have done a remarkable job on a very small budget but kept true to your belief in the player's skill and hardwork, giving us attractive football. I hope you will continue in what must be a difficult but rewarding job and look forward to League 1 and again show what can be done with the crop of young players.

Well done GT! Who wants one of those dreaded manager of the month awards, you know what always happens in the next game. Save it up for the end of season ultimate acolade, voted for by people who know how hard the job really is. Very well deserved and I'm sure GT would be the first to include the other backroom staff in this. Show um what you can do next year. Good luck in preparing your squad in the closed season.

12 years of hard work finally recognised. Hope GT told Fabio he'll be taking his job when we fail to get to World Cup 2010!!! Let's hope in 12 months time GT is League 1 manager of the year!

Well done Mr Turner, brilliant job. I agree with all the comments above, especially Sir Graham. What a treat that would be. This though is a very fitting prize after many, many years of hard work.
