GT - Two Offers MadeArticle Date: 23 May 2008 During his weekly video interview with the Official Hereford United Website, Bulls supremo, Graham Turner spoke about the current contract negotiations... Turner reveals that he has already made two offers to clubs for players, "One was turned down" Turner explains "our offer was nowhere near enough, but the other, the club is seriously considering it, so we've got one offer in the pipeline and we're waiting for an answer." Turner also confirms that he has already started working down the same line as last season in terms of loan players "I've spoken to a number of clubs about loan players for next season, it's been met with very positive reaction. "I think we've got a very good reputation in the game so we'll utilise that area again." Download the full video interview now. Turner then looks at those players from last season who he offered contracts to "Nobody from last season has accepted our offers yet, but everyone is considering it, talking to their agents. The outside players we've spoken to, they're talking to their agents. Graham explained about offering, and in some cases not offering contracts to players for next season "The lads had a break and when they came back I saw the vast majority of them within the two days following and indicated to them all whether we were offering a contract, and the terms we were offering, and also to those who we weren't offering a contract. "It's always a sad time when players who have worked here and worked hard and acheived something that there's a parting of the ways, but it's inevitable, it's a ruthless game at times. "Player's who I've got high regard for, you have to sit there and make decisions based on experience, footballing factors and thats the decision you come to. Download the full video interview now. Graham is sure he can assemble a squad capable of coping with whatever League 1 throws at them "We're confident we can bring in a squad good enough to cope with 1st Division football next season. However, he admits that wages and agents fees in League 1 have proved a bit of an eye opener "It has been in this first period a little bit of an eye opener as far as costs are concerned, talking to players, talking to agents. It's been a bit of an eye opener with the finance the players want, with the finance the agents want for the players. "It's been a bit of a shock, but already there's something like 500 names on the free transfer list so we're sifting through that." Download the full video interview now. i think turner should go for danny crow and andy cole and ian bennett and trevor sinclair coz of their releases and bring back hooper, ainsowrth, jennings and threllfall on loan and perhaps buy a few players from league 2 but focus on getting players from league1 clubs or loanees from higher clubs like championship and premierships clubs

steven jennings would be a good signing, dont think we would have to pay a fee for tounami, so would be interesting to know who the other player that the club has bid for is (presuming one is hooper). definetly wouldnt want veterans who are past it like sinclair.
