League 2 Play Off FinalArticle Date: 26 May 2008 Wembley plays host to the third and final Football League play-off final this afternoon, as Rochdale take on Stockport in the League 2 showdown... The two teams will be battling it out to see who joins MK Dons, Peterborough and Hereford United in gaining promotion into League 1 next season. The fact that the victors will face games against the likes of Leeds United and Leicester City, makes the prize at stake rather larger than a usual League 2 play-off final. Casting his eye over proceedings will be Bulls Boss Graham Turner who will be at Wembley to give his expert opinion to listeners of Five Live. Speaking exclusively to the Official Hereford United Website ahead of the final, Turner said "I think it's finally balanced. Stockport are well organised, if they get a goal ahead they are very difficult to break down, as we found out at our place when they won 1-0. "Rochdale probably play more football, a little bit more exciting. But I think their big loss is the midfield player Perkins, who was sent off and suspended, I think he's a little tiger in midfield. I think they'll miss him. You can hear what Turner has to say prior to the game, and at half time, by tuning into Five Live Sport from 2pm this afternoon. Who do you think will join The Bulls in gaining promotion to League 1? Have your say now! Fan Comments (0)Comments are now closed. |
