Westfield School Enjoy Grand Day OutArticle Date: 12 Jun 2008 Westfield Special School recently enjoyed a day out at Edgar Street. The day was all part of the schools 'History of Sport Project 2008'. Hereford United offered the school, based in Leominster, the chance to visit the club and have a tour of the ground. The tour included a look around all parts of the ground, including photos in the Meadow End. The children also went behind the scenes, taking in a tour of the first team changing rooms, the referees room, sponsors lounges, and were also treated to the added bonus of meeting The Bulls Chairman and Director of Football, Mr Graham Turner whom the group met in person taking time out from their busy tour for some photo opportunities! The Football in the Community team handed the teachers a full history script of the clubs history, which will be used in the Schools project.
School visits is an area where the Bulls Community Scheme hopes to improve further next year by making more visits available to the schools in the County. For more information please contact Adri on 07799 737661. It was a very enjoyable day for all, and Hereford United look forward to seeing the children at Edgar Street in the near the future. Well done to all concerned. Long may it continue. Glad to see the club is doing more for the community and this in turn should increase the gates etc.
