Pat Mountain - Goalkeeping CoachPat can be seen warming-up goalkeeper Wayne Brown prior to United's home games, and in addition to this he also works two days a week at the Bulls' training facilities at Belmont Abbey. Pat also works for Cheltenham Town and is an FA Coach Educator, working part time helping to deliver various goalkeeper specific coaching courses. Talking about how 'keepers can influence matches, Pat says , "As a goalkeeper you might not have much to do in terms of saves, but you can still have an effect on the way your team plays and thats what we're trying to do. Pat started out at Ninian Park "I spent four years at Cardiff City - two years as a pro - and I was also a Welsh Under 21. I also spent time at Yeovil and five years at Newport, and alongside that I've taken all my coaching qualifications." His coaching qualifications were called into use far earlier than Pat had imagined as he explains "I had some major damage on my left knee, and I needed three major operations on the same one, so unfortunately I had to call it a day when I was 27.
