Fairclough "It was a fair result"Article Date: 17 Feb 2007 Speaking after his sides 2-0 defeat to Hereford today, Barnet boss Paul Fairclough admitted that "I think the outcome of the game was a fair result" "If anything, we were in a form of control in the first half and I felt we should have scored. We had an opportunity to score, and I know Hereford had hit the post and that, but I felt that we had a form of control in the first half. "I felt that Hereford were quite frustrated in their play and we were hitting them on the counter attack which was our plan. "I was really dissapointed how we defended the first goal, becuase when you set up the shape that we set up, which was to work on a counter attack system with all the injuries that we've got, I was very dissapointed with the way we handled the goal. ,p>"I felt it was an individual error, which goals are scored from, and then obviously away from home your chasing everything."We did everything we could, we used all our subs and although we rode our luck we were still in it and then you wait for the chances to come and our chance came and we didn't take it. "Then they've gone ahead and scored the second goal which has made the game a decisive win and they deserved the victory by the end of the 90minutes." |
