Hereford United have signed Tom Nichols from Exeter City on an initial one-month loan deal.

A product of the Exeter youth setup, Nichols has made 20 first-team appearances for the Grecians.

He arrives at Edgar Street after impressing Bulls boss Martin Foyle during Exeter's friendly on Tuesday evening against Chippenham, in which Nichols bagged a brace.

Foyle told the Official Hereford United Website: "I'm pleased we've managed to bring Tom in, he impressed me on Tuesday and he has a lot of promising attributes.

"I'm looking forward to working with him."

Nichols will wear squad number 21 during his time at Edgar Street.

His availability for Friday's game against Macclesfield Town is subject to clearance.
