Speaking after his side's 2-0 win against Hereford United at Edgar Street, Graham Turner told the press his Shrewsbury Town team won the game with their first-half display.

"It's another three points, we won the game in the first half," said Turner. "It got scrappy in the second half and we didn't pass the ball as well.

"The strikers have had a lean time of late, but two good goals today.

"It's a great result. That's the thing about coming to places like this, you know it's going to be difficult, especially the local derby element with it. Sooner or later they're going to win a few games here.

"I think we dealt well with most things that Hereford threw at us.

"It was never going to be a comfortable game. Had any one of the shots gone in for Hereford it would have been a different game."
