After a quiet first half in which Rochdale edged possesion, Craig King broke the deadlock after charging down an attempted clearance, before Ryan Valentine doubled the lead after slotting home a rebound after seeing his penalty originally saved.
Rochdale immediately pulled a goal back through the impressive Gary Jones, but the Bulls held on to secure another three points.
