Hereford 1-0 Torquay

Posted on: Sun 07 Feb 2010

FULL TIME: Hereford 1-0 Torquay

A 22nd minute strike from Gavin McCallum - a third goal in two games - hands United a 1-0 win over Torquay.

Hereford had to work hard for all three points and rode a second half storm from Torquay as the visitors searched for the equaliser.

A second win in as many games now gives United a 12-point cushion between themselves and the dreaded drop-zone.

The Bulls now have a week to recover before they travel the short distance up the A49 to take on Shrewsbury.

PREVIEW

Bulls' manager John Trewick is unlikely to tinker with his team too much following the Tuesday night win against Lincoln.

The Bulls' boss has already hinted that Tyler Weir, Paul Downing and James McQuilkin will all start having impressed in the midweek win.

Injuries rule out Ryan Green, Lee Morris and Jamie Tolley, with Richard Rose also unlikely to feature. Ryan Valentine is suspended.

After scoring a brace against Lincoln, Gavin McCallum will be hoping to start once again, with Marc Pugh also performing well enough to expect to keep his place on the wing.

We'll bring you the latest team news at around 2:15pm.
