Turner: Thank You For Cooperation
Supporters attending United's game against Lincoln City were faced with several new areas of yellow hatched areas, which meant they could not stand where they normally would.
Graham Turner explains the situation.
"We've had several visits from the Football Licensing Authority and the latest was last Tuesday.
"Where barriers don't conform to the Green Guide, we've had to put yellow hatched areas in so people can't stand against the barriers.
"I'm sure some fans, particularly in the Cargil Stand, were a bit upset about not being able to stand where they've stood for years.
"It was in order for us to get the licence for the Cargil Terrace and the Meadow End terrace. They've all reached the criteria."
Turner then reported that the club would install more barriers so that people can return to their normal places on the terrace.
"In order to alleviate the problems with the hatched area in the Cargil Stand we are going to put a fresh barrier in so that people who have stood there for a long time will be able to go back.
"It's unfortunate that we had to move supporters out of the hatched areas [for the Lincoln and Torquay games]. We appreciate the support and cooperation of the supporters who complied with the stewards' instructions.
"I'd like to reassure them that more barriers are going to be put in, in time for the next home game, so that they can stand where they want to stand."
