I have been relieved of my duties as manager of Hereford United with immediate effect during an amicable meeting with Graham Turner.
I was given the reasons behind the decision which I understand and accept. The most important thing to me is the continued Football League status of Hereford United. I have invested too much time at the club to see it jeopardised.
This season was always going to be a time of readjustment and stabilisation. After a poor start and inconsistent results the season turned out just as difficult and challenging as I thought it might be following relegation last season.
However, with over a quarter of the season remaining, Hereford United Football Club are 11 points clear of the relegation zone. I don't believe given all the recent circumstances that too much more could have been achieved.
I sincerely hope with Graham Turner taking over it instills the all round belief that the club can finish in a more comfortable position.
