Everyone at Macclesfield Town has thanked Hereford United for their hospitality, respect and sympathy.

"It was always going to be a very emotional day," commented chairman Mike Rance.

"The sight of the Hereford fans staying behind to applaud our players and supporters as they gathered together at the final whistle was very touching.

"From the boardroom to the players and the supporters, everyone at Hereford United played a part in making it a special day and fitting memorial to our manager and friend."
