Colbeck Becomes A Bull

Posted on: Fri 30 Jul 2010

Hereford United have completed the signing of winger Joe Colbeck from Oldham Athletic.

Colbeck, 23, has signed a two-year deal and will start training with his new team-mates on Friday morning.

"Joe is just the ideal attacking winger we've been looking for throughout pre-season and I think he is the final piece in the jigsaw," said United manager Simon Davey.

Colbeck started his career with his hometown club Bradford City and was their player of the year in 2008. He then moved to Oldham Athletic for a nominal fee and has made over 150 league appearances in total.

"I'm thrilled to be joining Hereford United. After meeting manager Simon Davey I was convinced there was a bright future ahead at the club," said Colbeck.

United now have a squad of 18 players and are looking to add a further two before the new season kicks off on Saturday week at Crewe Alexandra.
