Hereford United Youth Team left snow covered Hereford for a trip to the West Country looking to avenge their 3-1 home defeat to the Glovers at the beginning of the season.
United lost the toss and played down the steep slope at Somerton Sports Ground.
The Bulls made the best start to a match for some time but unfortunately could not convert their superiority into goals.
Jimmy Moreton and Aidan Thomas both failed to convert through-balls which ran away from them down the slope.
After 20 minutes the home side made their first attack on the Hereford goal when a high ball was lost in the bright sunshine and United went a goal behind.
The young Bulls continued to dominate the play with the midfield four out-playing Yeovil's five.
With half-time approaching skipper Joey Loftus won the ball on the edge of the home sides' penalty area and played in Aidan Thomas. The striker made no mistake and fired his shot into the bottom corner of the net.
Hereford went into the break level at 1-1.
The second half started too quick for some of the Hereford players and a Yeovil midfielder was given a free run at goal and made no mistake in putting the home side 2-1 up within a minute of the restart.
This kicked the home side into life and they used the slope to their advantage to race into a 4-1 lead within the next 20 minutes.
The score-line was aided by some sloppy defending by United.
Hereford recovered from the onslaught and settled down to their first-half performance creating chances for both Moreton and Thomas.
The final corner of the game saw central defender Joe Lemar direct his header just over the top of the home side's crossbar.
Final score 4-1 - a disappointing result following a good performance.
Once again United have been caught out by naive defending and not using the slope of the pitch as well as the home side.
